Frequently Asked Questions

Image of a Child is a website that curates and aggregates quality early childhood education resources including articles, journals and videos from across the web.

Our BLOG ASIA is a vehicle for Asian early childhood educators to discuss ECE issues from a local perspective. We believe we are unique in Asia on both counts.

We aim to simplify the search process for professional educators, parents and students.

We also periodically release Early Childhood activity guides designed to raise the physical, mental and emotional faculties of young children.

What is "Image of a Child" all about?

The name "Image of a Child" is inspired by the philosophy of Reggio Emilia, a guiding light in the field of Early Childhood Education.

It refers to how society's image of children influences their learning. This includes teachers and parents.

We believe this is something we all struggle with, stereotyping children as naive and innocent while ignoring their infinite capabilities and intelligence.

Why did you name the website "Image of a Child"?

The Team

Hi there! I’m an early childhood educator based in Malaysia. I love how I get to make lots of arts and craft stuff in my field and I’m all about going D.I.Y for all the teaching materials for children and even for the classroom decorations - THAT'S JUST MY FAVORITE THING TO DO IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD!
